Bikanervala famous for sweets throughout India has recently opened a 2 floor shop cum restaurant in Ahmedabad too.
Ground floor is the shop along with chats etc, first floor is the restaurant where they serve North Indian and south Indian, Tandoor, Chinese and continental etc along with chaat. The variety is huge but I personally did not like their South Indian or Chinese food and neither pavbhaji was worth trying but the chaats be it alu tikki or samosa chaat, delhi chaat or Raj kachori everything is yum….. The service is little slow and they are a bit mismanaged so you need to have patience or otherwise eating chaat at ground floor is the best option. They have a banquet hall on second floor where they have fixed Punjabi menu.
Undoubtedly they serve the best kulfi falooda in town priced at Rs 40/- and that is one thing I never forget to eat whenever I pass bikanervala. Ice-cream (own brand) is also very tasty. All the sweets are faboulous and my favourites are Rasagulla, Nariyal barfi and Malai chop.
