Mirch Masala, Ahmedabad
Mirch Masala means Indian Spices (Very spicy Spices). What I liked the best part of this resturant was the bollywood style setting. The modern Dhabas is what we should call them. You would find an occasional international visitor in this location as well. This place is ideal for people looking for a Clean Dhaba (The old road side Highway motels in india)
A bollywood setting with copper plates and glasses. Gives a typical dhaba kind of feeling, the walls are painted with with bollywood actors & actresses with dialouges sprayed all along, the place is decorated with vintage items like Old Radio, Sandook, an old tempo. The cleanliness is the other things which strikes you and despite the fact that they serve non veg you won’t even know about it.
They have 2 branches in Ahmedabad: One on CG Road and another one near the highway. The one near highway is very spacious and has a seating capacity of about 60-80 people.
Mirch Masala Restaurant in Ahmedabad serves delicious Punjabi cuisine. Some of the major Punjabi delicacies in Mirch Masala Restaurant in Ahmedabad are Dal makhani, Dal maharani, Dal amritsari, Lobiya, Rajmah, Punjabi pindi chholey, Punj ratani dal and Sarson ka saag te makki di roti, Palak Khichda, Tangdi kebeb.
They use a special spice which is not available anywhere else, and hence the food tends to be spicy and delicious. The choice is very wide and the dessert menu looks pretty ok. I would recommend the following dishes: Butter Chicken, Chicken Hundi, Seekh Kebab, Palak Khichda and Garlic Nan. Also try their lassi and jalebi.
