Residential realty shatters Rs 4k/sq ft ceiling
Like realtor Rajesh Brahmbhatt, who has recently rolled out an exclusive 18-apartment scheme at this whopping price tag, even as developer Purshottam Goyal is learnt to have upped the prices of his 40-apartment scheme to the same level.
Of course, the snooty price-tag comes with amenities like centrally air-conditioned apartments and hydraulic parking systems but the dizzying prices have left the realty market stunned especially at a time when the market is passing through a rough patch.
But Brahmbhatt insists there is a good demand for such niche offerings as there is a certain set of people that has the money and willingness to afford a luxurious bungalow lifestyle, albeit in apartments.
Adds another realtor, “There is an emerging breed of cosmopolitan, jetsetters who have the resources to buy a bungalow but are opting for apartments also because of safety and the added convenience of good community living.”
As Ahmedabad-based businessman Amit Patel, who has booked a crorepati flat, vouches, “I wanted all the advantages of bungalow living but without the hassles of maintenance and security. With a super-luxury apartment I get the ambience of a bungalow on a single floor with good neighbours as well.”
